All data subjects whose personal data is collected, in line with the requirements of the General Data
Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Responsibilities
2.1 The Data Protection Officer/ GDPR Owner (Ruth Bartram) is responsible for ensuring that this notice is
made available to data subjects prior to RuthToursScotland.Com collecting/processing their personal data.
2.2 All Employees/Staff of RuthToursScotland.Com who interact with data subjects are responsible for
ensuring that this notice is drawn to the data subject’s attention and their consent to the processing of their
data is secured.

3. Privacy notice
3.1 Who are we?
RuthToursScotland – Qualified Blue Badge Tourist Guide offering through direct bookings or through
agency bookings all manner of tours in Scotland; from 2 hour walks to 14days extended coach tours.
In my services for private toursbookings of Visitor Attractions on the customer’s behalf may be included.

The personal data we would like to collect from/process on you is:

COMMENTS
When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the
visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar
service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here:
https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the
public in the context of your comment.

ENQUIRIES OR COMPLAINTS
Users will have to consent to providing their details such as first name, last name, phone number and email.
This is used so that I can identify the visitor to proceed with their query.

COOKIES
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in
cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave
another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit my login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This
cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, I will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display
choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no
